I would sit in the point. 130'' buck would be hard to let go when we need inchesLOL...just messing with you Troy. I am confident that when a good buck shows up, you'll do your part. Best of luck to you.

Dave doesn't know what he's talking about - he's been drinking hot Whiskey Totties all morning. Hunt Yeller's area. That groundblind is calling your name. Since you're in so tight on his bedding area, the evening sit could be a skunker, but it's all-or-nothing when you're chasing the big dogs. Leave that point alone until you start seeing signs of the does coming into heat.

LOL Just kiddin'. Since you're only getting 1.5 hours to sit, I'd probably go to whatever location you can slip into faster and without bumping anything out.

1 vote the "point"

1 vote the "blind'

Pretty much the same distance to get to each one.... both spots are positioned where the deer move toward me..haven't ever bumped any in there in the evenings..(knock on wood).. wind works pretty good in both as well..once the thermals work downhill..good for evenings..

I won't shoot a 130 class buck tonight no matter what! ... LOTS of season left here..

Guys, please dont take the 130 class buck(check that, most of our bucks that are 3.5 will score somewhere grossin the 130's, thats what I am referring too as to what I will pass up)statement as arrogant. Ryans buck is a stud buck period.. I simply have bucks around here that will push 150's and 160's...possibly bigger..you wont hear me saying I have 190's and 200's running around..because I dont...possibly 1 or 2 per county and only infew select counties that traditionally produce at least 1-180 plus grossing buck per year.....I have so much time left and feel the next 3-4 weeks will definately get the big boys up and moving during daylight hours, so I am holding out..

point 2
blind 1

any particular reason why Ryan? Since you have hunted out on that point..

I just think that area over there is real "deersy" looking. That thick stuff over there is a great bedding area, and the way the land is layed out I think that bench(which I assume is the spot you are headed too) would provide a nice travel corridor for the deer.

HMMM - grey / yeller / grey / yeller / grey / yeller

I have to agree with Ryan - love that area, looks incredible, but have fond memories of a certain skid trail that would take you to the Yeller blind!

A grey cape would look good in the new room - better contrast on the wall.

Wait - you don't want me to pick - have been doing a crappy job the past 4 days...default to the coin toss... tails

Yellers ground blind! (feel bad as that is what I was thinking) - good luck!!

will tell everyone about the past 4 days - in a bit, but in a nutshell...

not a lot of deer - most of the bucks were dinks - did pass on one 8 (beautiful 130 that gave my word I would not shoot) a couple of 115ish (8 & 9 points), J however was in the deer - lots of numbers a couple of hogs and several pigs (the big ones that don't make one fall out of their stand).

that is why you should not have me pick your stand!!!! - but alas this could change my stand picking!

Mike
