AR 34

Good one!! You say scared, I say being an opportunist!! Congrats on your buck!! With Rybo taking a buck it looks like your team is getting fired up and on a roll. Best of luck to Team XX.

Rybo

Congrats on your buck !!

Troy

Tyler had a bad bit of luck. His one area got wrecked when two goof balls decided to put a tower stand right in the bedding area of the buck he was after. Then they wonder why all the deer left. I've had to deal with these goof balls before and they are just walking disasters. It would be madding but it is so comical... you just shake your head in disbelief and laugh at them bumbling around over the years. Tyler was a good sport and wasn't too bummed. He will be hitting it hard Friday- Sunday and wants me to pull him out of school a couple days on my week off. One of us should have a buck down soon.

Rybo - that buck is beautiful - big congrats man. Happy Halloween is right.

It's 4:45 a.m. and I'm getting ready to head out the door for round 17. I am ready to rumble.

EDIT: Skunked today - forgot some files at home, so I had to run back and grab 'em, which made me late, so I got stuck hunting a stand that I could get to in a hurry, but is a better evening spot. Either way, I was tied off before daylight, and could see really well, just no movement.

Ryan - do you still have thebones/hidefrom your buck? If you do, would you mind cutting off one of the fresh tarsal glands and mailing it to me in a ziploc bag? I'll pay you for the postage/envelope next time I see you. Maybe ziploc it and squeeze the air out, then stuff it in one of those jiffy pad envelopes. I'd like totie a fresh one onto my treestand, and I bet that guy smells good and ripe. PM me if you got 'em, and I'll give you my address.

Ryan - awesom bud - gotta like that treat! - beauty of a buck! - I could not tell if he was an 8 or a 9.

That definately sounded like an incredible hunt on one wound up buck.

Congrats!

Fran - I could not get the pic to show up either - was going to send you a message yesterday but got sidetracked with stuff on the desk (hate it when that happens!) Tonight will be better than this AM hunt for you!

Ryan, you're my inspiration. Thanks to you, the good fellas at M.A.D. Calls are a few dollars richer.

Hopefully big buck pics to follow. LOL

You guys should hear my side of Ryan's big buck story. I get a call from Ryanyesterday at 5:15 as I'm headed into the nursing home to visit my pap, and he sounds awfully excited (not powerball excited, but pretty darn excited), so I know he has a big buck down, either that or he just won something bigor maybe got a big promotion. My intuition was correct, and he confirmed that he did indeed arrow a good buck earlier, and he says it'sa nice one. I got the scoop on everything, and I was pretty excited. So I hang up and he texts me the picture - I almost fell over. That buck is a BEAST. By the way, you made my gramp's day. He used to hunt a lot, now he's stuck in a nursing home in a wheelchairwith a lot of serious health problems, but his mind's still there. So, when that picture came through, I turned it over to him and he was happier than a pig in mud to see that. It did me good to see the old codger get a little taste of deer season again.

THanks guys.
FranI am glad it cheered gramps up.

My buck ended up taping out at 136 6/8. I had ground growth. I knew he was solid when I shot him, but I think I was so focused on him chasing and making noise and the action around me that I really never looked too much at the rack. I'm off to the taxi this evening. I'm hoping he'll be able to find a good form for this buck, I'd really like to get him in a posture similar to how he was. The old looking at ya with the ears up does not fit this buck. I want his ears pinned back looking like he's ready to charge. I hope he can swing something.
