You and Ryan will be getting a tube from the UPS man. (Pulled some prints on one of the sleepless nights (tuesday) - could not get to sleep till 5:15 - yesterday was tough!! - but we will still be trying to get one to blow up of a big 6X^

Troy - that sounds exciting - If you want - I can have my people talk to the people of those pesky flat landers and then their people can get to your people...crap that would be too many people...guess you are just going to have to smack a big one early!!

I got a big bash going on at my house sunday. I am hoping ernesto will be out of the way by then. We go all summer with no rain and the weekend I want to have a party we get a hurricane.

Sounds like everyone has a big weekend planned. Rybo - we might be in trouble with Ernesto looming large over W-PA.

We're all headed to deer camp- all my buddies and their wives/girlfriends. Weather permitting, we're renting a party barge all day Sunday for somefishing, swimming, eating, drinking. There will be anywhere between 10 and 16 of us. Should be a good time - lots of drinking games and good stories told. I'll try to defend my beer pong championship.

I've rigged up a piece of plastic water tubing going from the porch of the camp, across the yard, up the back of the outhouseand down through the vent/chimney of the outhouse. I figured out that you could stick the fuselage of a bottle rocket (take the stick off) inside that tube and light it - it will travelthrough the tube and crap out just as it falls down the chimney,landing in the cesspoolright under the barenaked butt of the lucky individual inside. POW!Man, I can't wait to put one of those babies off while one of my buddies is in there. They'll jump through the roof. I know they'll get me back good, but it'll be worth it.

We'll head to the local bar to watch the Penn State game at 3:30 Saturday. The girls wanna go to some Indian Reservation Casino on Saturday night, so we'll be doing that too. I'm planning on timing it just right so we're there for the second half of the ND/GT game (no TV at camp). I'm not much of a gambler, so I'll be glued to the nearest television.

Mike - thanks for sending the pictures. I'll definitely put them up somewhere in the Man Room.
Troy - you should've saved all that painting and texturizing for Mike and Ryan. You just have to watch Ryan, he tries to eat the paint.

Ahh. Colege football starting back up and the corn is firing... To sure signs that hunting is in the air... Got to watch my Wildcats take care of the Red Hawks last night and see my old buddy Fitz win his first game as a coach... Call him my old budy because I sat next to him in a class once or twice, lol. Strange thinking that an old classmate of mine is now a coach of a big ten team.. Yikes.

Mike, sent you the addy this morning.

Put up two gam games yesterday... Will check on them in a week or so for any results. Lot of torn up ground in the woods, lot of footprints, some big ones too. Hope something turns up in front of the stands or blind. Oh, had a double bull blind show up on the door yesterday and mysteriously a large amount was charged to my credit card... Hmmm... I will have to check that out ;);) Later gents...need to go take care of some business

Anthony - Man was that bad news about Randy Walker. Your boy Fitz looks like he's gonna step in andbe a solid coach - I was flipping between three games last night, and caught Brett Basanez quarterbacking the Panthers in the last quarter of the Steelers game. Man, that kid took PSU to the ROPES last year! He beat the Steelers last night on the last drive - tough kid, very good QB, I just wish he had some more size. I pull for Northwestern every year (except when we play them), and I think they're gonna shock some people in the Big Ten this season. Iwish the NW game was on last night, but I got South Car. v. MSU (borefest)and UCM v. BC (which was a great game untilUCM's coach called that stupid play at theend andblew it).

Do we get an alternate playerif your wife shoots you when she sees your credit card bill? LOL She'll get over it.

I had a moment like that on Tuesday. The wife comes home from shopping and says - "Heyyyyyyyy.... I ummmgot some new shoes, but ummmmmmthey were a little expensive. Oh man, they're so awesome... Look!"

I'll leave out the rest, but you can understand my disgust when I learned the hard way that COACH doesn't just make expensive purses and wallets. Turns out that they make shoes too. #%^&*#$%^^&#%^!#$% But what she doesn't know is that now I'm allowed to go get a new polarfleece hunting jacket - the latest in this season's hunting fashion.

Yeah, the game was ESPNU out here.. The audio was horrible, you could hear the WGN radio broadcast which made me realize why the heck wasn't I listening to Dave Ennet until I reaized the delay on my computer was litterly 45 seconds, lol. Atteneded the old Purple in White U when Barnett was the coach back in 93,94 and 95.. LEts not talk about not note I got in the mail after the rosebowl game, lol... The Michingan game in 95 cost me a shaved head, the Wisconsin game cost me one with a razor blade and the Penn State game cost two guys their hair that year too, lol... Ichalk it up to stupid college bets. Oh well, haven't let the hair grow back since.

Bret is a tough guy.. Hope he makes the Panthers or another team this year. Doesn't have a lot of size but has a good arm and it tougher than nails. Played a season with a broken freaken leg... That PSU game last year killed me. Although, I do like Penn State a lot, I am an NU fan, don't have a choice, some of my fondest memories were walking back from Welsh Ryan and Dyche Stadium (Now Ryan field) after football and basketball games. Easier to walk than wait for a bus. We used to go down to the field after away games and throw the ball. I hate astroturf, so glad they went to grass after I left.

Coach Walk was an Icon in Chicago... He really was. Except for the unfortunate Rashidi Wheeler incident there is no one who would say a bad word about the guy. I heard bg time media guys basically crying on the air after he passed because he was one of the good guys.. Very, very sad but I think Fitzgerald will do a great job. Still remember the hush that went over the stadium when he broke his leg against Iowa in 95... I think they might have won the Rose Bowl that year if he had been healthy.. He meant that much to the team.. Oh well, I digress.. I am thank full my wife is not a big shopper but she came home a few weeks ago with a stack of clothes and a bill that made my eyes bug out. Grabbed a cow and sold it... Well, not really but I always tell myself the cows are money in the bank that I can take out anytime, just need to take them to the currency exchange before spending the money.

Good luck to JoePa.. Have been a Joe Pa fan since They beat Vinnie in the Orange bowl those many, many years ago. And GO GEORGIA Tech.. Beat those Irish, lol.. My 4 favorite college teams, in no order, NU, PSU, Iowa and whoever is playing Notre Dame. It used to be whoever was playing the Illini but they are so bad now there is no need to have those feelings ;) I wouldnt be surprised if Eastern Illinois bites them in the butt and beats them in the first game of the season.

I am just waiting untill the first. I have got to try some duck and goose hunting this year. My little brother is taking me on Sept 30, so I may have to wait untill the second to get into the tree.
I will have the opportunity to set out with my daughter on Sept. 23-24. she says she is goin to get one bigger than mine on the wall. I sure hop she does.
O ya, $30 to get a 8mm on DVD at cvs. I think you can put 2 hours on for that much.

hey guys, hope you all had a safe and fun holiday weekend. I saw some more nice bucks out my area. Most of them are shed of velvet, a few still had it on. I am really pumped about this season, I'm not used to having this many nice bucks around. I just hope I can close the deal on one.

Ryan - right now, I'm clear on Sunday night. If nothing changes between now and then, we should be golden. I bet you and Mike arereally getting amped - I know every day for me seems like an eternity, and I have almost a WHOLE MONTH to go yet. Keep tabs on all those bucks in your neighborhood - I'm sure you're gonna wind up tagging one of them sooner or later.

Looks like Troy's been off the radar for 3-4 days. Hopefully those guys are having some luck.

Thank goodness it's finally football season. Now I have something other than deer hunting to occupy my mind.
