Troy the link for the video did not work on the computer here at work. I will have to try it on a different computer. My computer at home is dial-up so it would take forever but that may be my only option.

Good to hear all of you are ready to hunt, and that are hunting. Congrats on thoes turkeys.
Shirts sound good.
I get to take may daughter to Hunter Safety next weekend, and out to the woods the following weekend for our youth season. If she arrows a deer, I will be sooooo happy. I cant wait.
I know I will be shooting the first buck that comes through my stand. I sometimes do not see more than that all season. I am also lucky enough to be able to wait out the big one with my second tag, should it happen.
See you all soon.

IL - Let me know about how that UA works out for you. I went to Cabela's last night and tried it all on, and wrote down my sizes. I have a good friend who is a buyer fora Sporting goods company, and he's gonna try to get me a set at discount. Like you, I'm gonna go with a solid color to save some cash. I have an olive green Cold Gear shirt already, and it works great, just not anti-micro.
So I got permission to hunt this new farm that I was telling you guys about earlier. The bad news is that the landowner caught some guys jacklighting from their ATV's last week. They gutshot a really good eight point before he chased them away, and he had to go put it down.
He'd been hearing some shooting late, so he waited up for them last week. Not sure how much damage they really did, but they got at least thatone. The farmer is a super guy, too. It's a shame people can be greedy like that. It's a really big problem around here. They'll get what's comin' to 'em in due time. I just hope they didn't kill the boss. He's one of the better bucks I've ever seen alive. I'd sell my soul to get an open shot at him.
by the way, thanks for posting those videos, Shed. Those bucks are absolutely beautiful. Hope you get a chance to let the air out of one.

That is a real shame... I don't know why people do it either but I am constantly confronted with the similiar BS on our land... usually not jacklighting but a lot of tresspassing and a lot of malicious behavior. The first year I lived here I must have chased the same group of dirt bikers off this one area a dozen times. Finally caught them good, stared at them and told them the next time I saw them the sherrif was coming out and I was going to be pressing charges of destruction of property as they had cut some old fence for theirmotorcross runs.. Than I called their dad/grandpa and told them the same thing... Amazing, they stopped coming around after that. Amazing, some of those bikes showed up in the front lawn of the kids who owned them with big for sale signs on them.
Had a little problem last year with people during archery season poaching. Never huge problems but always a little. No matter how many signs you put up, no matter how much you are around it always goes that way. Maybe with me hunting more this year I will be able to keep an eye on stuff. I noticed while shotgun hunting last year a few people turn and drive off when they saw my truck parked at the drive to one of our properties... Hmmm, wonder why they didn't stop and say hi?

Howdy guys, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was busy logging and only got to hunt yesterday evening.
IL and QUICK, thats just got to suck having so many problems with tresspassing. We have it somewhat here and its getting worse, but not like you all deal with back in the mid west and east.
AR, I wish you and your Daughter the best of luck. I hope she gets a shot at a deer.
Quick I am glad to hear you have permission to that property and hope those knuckleheads havent messed it up too bad, at least the land owner caught them now, hopefully even though the nice buck is gone there are more to hunt there!
I saw a couple does, had the bull elk that I have been looking for the past few days...hefinally talked and give away his location andI had a 140+ buck in view. Its that 145 ish...4x5 I videod earlier this year. He and a smaller buckslipped out in front of my stand at about 70-100 yards and fed until dark. Had a doe under my stand thats it for critters in bow range...
The "Cowboys" won though!

Over the next two weeks, I'm going to put in my lock-ons at this location and glass the fields from 6:00 to dark. I'll also take a few spotting runs through there and try to see if the big one's still alive, although he's probably a little light-shy now.
There is a huge rectangularcornfield that only contacts the woods on one narrow side. That wooded side leads into a nice hollow that provides the only wooded cover on the farm. I'm guessing that I canhang my stands high on that edge and get good action until he cuts the corn.
As a fallback, there is a secluded soybean field that is getting some heavy deer activity as well.
Keep up the good work Shed, eventually one of those racks is going to move into bow range. It only gets better from this point. I'm really feeling good about our chances here.
Does anybody know what score we need to average to be in contention?

The tresspassing has gotten a lot better in the last couple of years. I know who is doing it, and you can only do so much about it butthe good news is that I haven't sene any dirtbike activity for 3 years now and that, is a great thing. The hunters are a whole nother story and it isn't to bad. The fun part (At least to me at least) is the people who used to hunt the ground and now can't (not my decision) now keep an eye out on the property and have chased a few people off. Makes me laugh.. The liability issue is just so difficult in this state right now and I don't have control over who can and can't hunt anymore.. It is out of my hands and in the big boss mans now..

Good luck on your set ups Quick it sounds like you have some good options. As for the big boys on thevideo, I have basically given them a week of not even setting foot in their area. With the weather I have today its time for me to move back into where I suspect they are feeding versus the alfalfa that is gone now. I hunt6 different locations in 4 seperate counties and have hunted3 of those6 so far this season, mostly the locations close to home. My distant locations are better rut hunting areas. As for time, my logging work is cutting into my weekends, oh well it has to get done before the poor weather hits.
Quick....I think any team that goes 10 for 10 with anybuck harvest will win this thing. It wont take a very high average.. I don't think anyone was much over 600 inches last year..correct me if I am wrong, I didnt look...
on a lighter note... Do we have a LOGO?

as team captian I am failing in this catagory...
XX works for me...
