Well I hope some of you guys are able to hunt?I know christmas , weather and all kind of things can put a dampner on hunting plans this time of yr[&:]
I am heading back to the woods again this weekend myself after taking a 3week break.
Both my buck tags have been filled but I still have 6 doe tags left Andmy season doesn`t end untill january 31
How about you guys whats up:D?

I'm heading out this week. I went out a was planning on shooting any doe that moved. I took one shot and missed badly. I hit underneath her. I kept thinking about the shot and now realised why I was low. It was a 40yrd shot on all most even plane since she was up hill from me. I needed to aim like it was 50 yrds. Oh well no biggie.

Yesterday my friend called to let me know a real nice 10 pointer showed up in his yard. On Wed, a nice 8 pointer was there. Hopefully they will show up when I do. With any luck, I will put something nice on the board this week and I hope to put lefty on a nice one later this month.

Lets get hunting guys.

Oh my gosh, I think the deer smell me when I turn on 95 north. Tribal, I don't know how you can hunt cold weather. Yesterday I hunted from inside my friends house in the morning and no bucks showed. In fact, the herd was else where. All I saw were a few does but the offer a great broadside as they pass the house.

Didn't make it out this morning but this evening was both fun and disappointing. Got up behind my old CEO's house and watched a whole bunch of deer on the ridge line dart into the woods back into the park. Setup in a good area and waited 15mins. In the mean time called my friend to tell him that there was a bunch of deer where he likes to hunt. Then I saw a dozen+ coming out of the park in my direction behind me. Looked around outin the field and there was50+ grazing out there that came out of the park through the snow. The good thing was that the construction workers were still pounding nails on the house 100 yards away so the deer were migrating toward me as well as all the deer still coming out of the park on my hillside. Just then one of the dogs from the house decided to roam out of his invisible fence area and come up on the hill. He spooked the ones behind me and diverted the ones on the field.

I can't win. I wish I could say I saw bucks but all I saw were does but the group coming on me had a buck chasing them. On the ridge I could hear some bucks fighting and they must have been good size from the noise but never got a look at them. It was a great hunt but frustrating as hell. Maybe next week when I get back out there.

So who's hunting this weekend. I was planning on it but it's supposed to rain here and the wife has wallpaper border that she wants put up so it's looking like I be grounded.

Well I`m taking my son and a friend of his out saturday to shoot some bushy tails, After that not much, ButI am off workmonday so I was thinking on trying fill one more of my doe tagsIf given thechance before the season ends here on jan-31? I went about 2 weeks ago and seen 11 deer in one morning, could have taken a doe at that time be I past don`t no why I just did?And One nice 2 1/2 yr old 6pt. 15-16 inch inside, main beams look to be about 20 inch`s or so? Good 2 1/2yr old buck for the areaI hunt,He should be very nice next season! Strange thing? A couple of the bucks I have seen and I have even taken one from the area have no G-1`s. smooth as a babys but
Whats up with that:eek: anyone know? Other bucks in the same area have really nice G-1`s 5-6 inch`s long. anyhow "Good luck to who ever still hunting" We stillneed a buck for the score card to take 2nd Not bad for the team that took 1st place last yr.;)

Its good that your season is still open as I'm going to have to wait till fall to do it again. Spring gobbler is near and there is always fishing to look forward to. Good luck guys.

Are you sure you don't want to take a road trip bobby? We have until the end of the month and I place no restrictions on what you want to shoot Heck, I would hope a monster would give you a shot.
