Hang in there Tribal it sounds like your all over-em. 130' at this point would look good! even 100? that would put us close if not over 400,
Even if we don`t win? finishing a strong 2nd would be awesome for the for the team that won last season? "SCREW THAT!!I WANT TO WIN IT ALL:D
" Go team-8

Tribal, quit scaring the dang deer and shoot one already, will ya?:D

Come on guys, we actually could pull this off you know. (I'm one to talk, I've only been out a hand full of times after I took my buck, and haven't even seen a doe .)

Well guys, I'm happy to say I filled my tag. But I am sorry to say he's not the monster I was holding out for. It was 4 degrees with a-4 windchill snow on the ground and no warm up in sight. The deer are herded here like the great caribou migration. I shot a double which was fun a huge doethen the8 pointer a short time later. It was my forth double so thats always a bonus. He scores a whopping 75 but in this weather I earned him none the less. I am happy because my wife just about had it.
With the pace I was hunting I only had 3 or 4 more times out anyway. So I TOOK IT FOR THE TEAM.;) Besides I wanted Badshotbob to shoot a bigger deer than me this year.;);)j/k Bob! And I promised to contribute and I did just that. Just not enough to win the contest for us. Good luck to those who are still at it. Next year I will be back to hunting full time.

Ever try and draw your bow with 20 or more deer around you within 60 yards? Thats alot of eyes and I will say this is my biggest buck this late in the year. Anyway it caps out a decent year for me as I stuck my limit and even party hunted firearm for another small buck. Elite 8 BBD BIG BUCK DOWN!

Way to go Tribal. I was just about to post my question if I should shoot a deer even if I wouldn't hang him on the wall. RTA's post answered it for me and your deer did as well. I'll pop one this month.

Tribal, that darn 8 point loooks big. How much did he weigh? I laugh at his body size compared to the deer I see.

Lefty, are you alive? PM me if you want to hunt later this month. My petting zoo has some bucks but not the mosters I was seeing regularly due to the idiot hunting next to the property. I can still put you on a buck hopefully and we can add 200 points to our score even if we only shoot a two small 8 points.

Tribal

Congrats on your buck and the double!! Our deer herd up here too in winter. Hunting them with that many eyes, ears and noses is indeed a challenge. Great job!!

Way to go tribal! Thanks for helping out the team! WE NEEDED IT;)
That is a fine looking buck,OK he`s not the 140-150class everyone was expecting you to bring in? Instead you showed us what kind of bowhunter you are? In 4 degree weather? With That many deer around you? And you were still able to pull it offAdouble? That is a trophy in itself!
The buck I posted for the team this yr was also a double, But I only had about 7 or 8 deer around when I did it:D? I understand What you did was even tougher to do.Congrats..

I gotta hand it to ya, Tribal, you are nuts my friend. Great deer for this late in the season and considering the weather conditions and all those eyes. Whew. And a double to boot! I'm impressed. Yep, all those eyes is not an easy thing. I stuck a doe last season on December 28th - the woods was full of deer. Although it wasn't as cold as your hunt (a mere 20 with about 0 wind chill), I know how hard it can be to get a bow back in that weather after sitting for hours - and without being busted. Way to go.

Congrats Tribal thats a nice buck. Here in MD we would have to kill 3 bucks to add up to that body size.:D Keep plugging away guys this is the toughest time of year to stay motivated and keep on hunting but the deer are still out there, we still have a shot at winning this thing.

Fieldmouse,

I'm still alive and kick'n havnt been bowhunting since before Thanksgiving, I hope to get out this Saturday. I only have weekends left except for the days after x-mas and new years. Let me know if you can get out on a Sat or any of those days and we will hunt together.
