Well season is over for another year in MI. Wasn't a bad year... scored the little buck for the board, and took a nice doe last week to end the season. My son got to see the entire hunt from a stand behind mine - that made my year. He was pumped.

Congrats bob On the season! I`m sure you and sonWill never forget it!
I took my daughter on a hunt about 8 yrs ago she was 7 at the time, she was in the tree with me {thats a hole nother story:D}when an ave-size 4pt,came running by chassing a doe, I grunted with my voice and was able to stop him at 15yrds, Iquickly put an arrow in him, he only ran about 30yrds,"Although the deer was not all that big? ''It is still one the Greatestmemory`s I have ever had while hunting.My son took hisfirst deer last season he was 11yrs old.He took adoe and I was right beside him the hole time.It was a dream come true for the both of us.

Fieldmouse, don't tempt me cause I'm ready to go. As far as the monster goes thats another story. Saw lots of deer and hunted hard and long from sept to the end of nov and just didn't see a descent shooter (mature buck). Filling a deer tag can be accomplished here by lunch time, butme being so f@#%kin choosey will be eating my tag. Salt please. [:@]

Hey ya'll. I just wanted to let you guys know that I haven't died. I have been out with work and HUNTING. I just wanted to let you also know that I will NOT be eating tag soup this year. I took a small 6 pointer. Not the one I was after but he will do for the freezer and keep us in third. I think 800+" is going to be tough to top. I will post pic and size soon.

Congrats to all that scored. This is my last day, and I plan on going this afternoon to a place I rarely hunt. All I've been seeing are does and really young bucks. Just maybe today................who knows?

Well guys, I'm trying to get out but I did start my new job on Sunday hitting the ground running. This may lock me out permenatly from my honey hole. I took a job with the competition but was hoping to keep it hush hush so that I wouldn't have a problem hunting my old CEO's property. Word did get out so I'll find out this week when I ask to hunt. If not I still have a few spots if I can find the time.

Way to go O2! I'm glad you were able to put meat in the freezer.
