lol, you waited all winter for just 2 days of hunting, then it's over in a hurry... and then it is back to waiting.

i would probably be the same, but i have to see that our hunters get their toms first. i guide a lot of turkey hunting so i usually don'thunt for myselftill mid to late may.

that is great, get them out there. at the very least you get to double your hunting for the year.

every year, my favorate hunting is taking some local kids out to do all of our doe management. we all have a blast. i think this year we will set up some tents and have everyone camp in the woods.

This was ol wapitiscott and my camp for almost 30yrs. what some good times we had in it, we never had a year that we didn't have a few young fellers tagging along with us, sure glad you guy are going to take the young guy out, who knows maybe they will return the favor when y'all are old and feble. Saturday is youth day in SC,my season doesn't start until the 1st though. We'll be out hopefully for a morning hunt before my son's baseball game, and then back out to see if we can get him one. He's wanting to shoot one with his .20gauge this year, so it'll happen with some luck. I have to admit, if he gets one and we don't see anything else the rest of the season I'll be happy.

Well,Gang ~
They are start'n to strut & gobble out here now...only problem is, it snowed 6 inches last night and its gonna snow another 4-5 inches tomorrow. Dang !!! " Alberta Clipper".
Our season opens in a couple of weeks, so hopefully it will be more like Spring by then.

Hey Lost Horn~
Love that Camp photo ...
Sure brings back many great and fond memories of the "Ol' Days".
That place is one heck of a gobbler hot spot too ! I'm sure you will be hunting there againthis year... wish I was there.
Scott
