Hey all in andI know of 3 from past contests who are on this team and are very good turkey hunters -

JW
I wouldn't exactly call myself a good turkey hunter, but these are from last year's contest. I doubled up with these on my vacation week and didn't have anyone around to take a pic of me with them. I think one was 20lbs and the other 24lbs...bigger scored either a 62 or 65. I know the one on the left looks like a jake because of the fan, but it's actually not. They were propped up against a box in the the back of the pick-up because that's the only way I could get the fans to stay out, both had spurs over 1". One shot took both, bigger dropped on the spot but I had to chase the smaller one down.

that's pretty good "breezer." you can tell they are mature toms, jakes will have the middle 3 tail feathers sticking out further than the rest. the older toms will be more perfect and rounded.

here is a picture of a tom last year that had a 13" plus beard on him, we called this one "turkeyzilla".

that sounds great.

i am going to be placing 4 trail cams this weekend on a some different properties so i can figure out when they are coming through.

i do a lot of preseason scouting and and calling just to test the waters. this is the last weekend for us before the madness begins. 2 months of nothing but turkey hunting.
