Well, I woke up at 4:00 Staurday morning and got ready to go out. My dad and I decided that we wanted to try and video the hunt. So we got out to the double stand and got settled in. About a half hour later, we heard a buck grund and splash through a big marsh. That is all we saw/heard for a couple hours. At about 7:30, I hear a crunch behind me. I see this brute walking right down a trail to my left. I nudge my dad and tell him there is a big buck right there. I raise my muzzleloader up quickly and cock the hammer, but his vitals are behind a tree. I wait till he takes two more stepsand then BANG. I blew a 4 inch wide hole right through his heart at 17 yards. He ran about 50 yards and then piled up. I was shaking so badly I almost fell out of the stand. I couldn't be more proud of this buck. I can't wait to see what he looks like on the wall!!
