I'm taking my hunters safty corse this summer so I might be hunting public land this fall. ether ELk or deer. Just have to convince my dad to take me or i'll go with my uncle.

at what age is it mandatory to take your hunters saftey?? i guess im confused, you make it sound like w/ out your hunters saftey you can hunt private land....is that right?

Exactly, here in ohio you have to have proof of Hunters Ed Certification before you can even buy a tag/license.

i took the course but i lost my card so i just show the people my license froom the previous year[:-]
