ORIGINAL: Riffer

I'm 5'5, and 130, I will probably go to one of the archery stores around here and just draw a few back and see what feels good, but I want a bow that will lasta little while.
I'm 13 and im 5'5, 130 too and im pullin 45 i think but i havent shot since last season so im gunna get in pulled up to 50# i think. im prolly getting a new bow to so ya know.I think 50 should be a good start for you.

You should start at a lower poundage like maybe the min for bowhunting weight here it is 45 lbs. Then as you gradually get stronger you will want to pul more. The advantage of pulling more weight is that you have a flatter arrow trajectory and more KE(kinetic energy) or hitting power. I have been shooting for 6 years and am now drawing 70 pound back, im 17, 6'1, 200 lbs. If you try to pull to much to early it will greatly sacrifice form and you will get worse acuracy than with lighter poundage.

well it doesnt really matter what other people pull.
just use ur bow, or the one you are going to get. and pull it back and set it on the most pounds u can get without having to use like all of ur strength
where u can pull it back straigt on without pointing the bow anwhere but straight ahead of you is just right
because if u put too much on there, when its really cold out and ur hunting it is alot harder to pull ur bow back then on a typical comfortable day
hope it helped
