Default Close but not Close enough

I almost got my first buck today. I'll tell you what happend but i'll start from the top. Well i get in the stand about 3:00 pm and there for about 30 min i see one doe through binoculars. Then another yearling following her. They work their way across the feild the yearling then goes into the woods on the other side of the field and stays just inside the woods. The doe keeps eating in the rye feild. Shortly after that she waves her tail te get her yearlings attention they work along the edge of the feild somemore and lay down. they then fall a sleep until another doe shows up, this doe goes into the field a little ways and goes back were she came from. Then another doe appears at the edge i look at her through binoculars and watch her meet up with the other does. I then see another deer following the doe. I use binoculars and see that this one has horns. He starts working his way down the does trail. I grunt oncesee his head snap towards me, i grunt a second time he starts walking towards me. He every once while stops to eat i grunt to get him going again he gets about 5 yds from my bow range and starts to walk along outside my bow range to circle down wind of me. Shortly after he went into the woods 3 button bucks come out where he went in. i grunt see all 3 of there heads snap towards me. Then after that i sit there watching them chase each other. I see the buck i grunted towards me earlier come out wher he came out the first ime( i could tell by his limp). I start grunting again get him come towards me then at about the same distance as last time he turns and heads to a group of does and follows them into the woods. And shortly after that it was too dark for me to shoot so i got down. The Buck was a small racked 3-4 point and had a big body. All together i probly saw about 15 deer. Hopefuly i'll see that buck during gun season [&:]

Well to bad you did not get the buck you wanted. But not getting what you want is life. But that my friend is the challenge of hunting if the deer just walked right to you it wouldent be any fun. You are luckey some people hunt all thier life and never have the chance to kill a deer so be thankful
