I get 72.31 KE out of my Bowtech Allegiance. That is with a 350 grain arrow at 70 lbs and 28" draw. At 70 lbs with a 350 grain arrow I would get 82.11 KE. I am probably between 70-74 KE with my 27.5" draw, 70 lb draw weight, and 410 grain arrow. I will chrony it to make sure.

DoubleLung55, how are you getting so much KE with your bow? The IBO on that bow is 300 fps. That would equal 70 KE with a 350 grain arrow. What is your draw length and draw weight?Do you shoot a 400 or 500 grain arrow? I am not doubting you, I am just curious.

Pse-archer, I used to get 32 KE with my PSE, but Bowtech's are much better right?

Im shooting 400 grain arrows , and had my bow tuend to get some extra speed from it , im shooting 62 lbs with the string twisted , so they say that gives it some extra torque or something , and when i punched in my specs into that calculator it gave me 72 for KE.

Even if it was lower i could careless , i shot at 2 deer with it , and had 2 perfect pass thrus , so even if my KE was like 10 i wouldnt care lol.... Good hunting

Yea KE really doesn't really do that much to an average shot these days because all bowsare pushing a decent amount of it. The only time that KE is really needed these days are when you are hunting BIG game, (ie. elk, moose, cape buffalo, etc.)for penetration purposes. To me the reason that people are really concerned with it these days is so they can slack off and not worry about perfect arrow placement. Now mind you that isn't everybody, some just like to have the extra "umph" so if by unlucky chance they get a bad hit they know it has the power behind it to get the job done.
That being said....I'm getting about 70 foot pounds out of my PSE Vengeance Hybrid set at 70 lbs with 528 grain 2315 arrows. Like I said, some people like to have the extra "umph"
Thats just my 2 cents however
