Nothing magic about it. It's just fertilizer with lime mixed in. Lime is cheap.
Anything with the word 'premium' in it isn't

For example:
a fourty pound bag is $28.00 (but they throw the shipping in for free)
they suggest 8-10 bags per acre

Tractor Supply Store has lime for $5 a 50 pound bag
and garden fertilizer was 8 bucks a 40 pound bag (if I remember correctly)

This past year, Wal-mart had the Biologic PHfertilizer for $6 per 40 lb bag. - I bought enough to cover 2 acres. I'm not 100% sure, but somewhere I read that the lime in the fertilizer mix rendered some of the fertilizer inert over a specific time frame?

At 6 dollars a bag I would say that it's a good value.
As far as the lime rendering some of the fertilizer inert I think someone has created a 'rural legend'.
Lime makes your fertilizer more easily used by the plants, not more difficult.

Let's figure this out a bag of fert at Lowes or Walmart 10-10-10 is $4.42 for 40# bag a bag of groundburnt limestone is 1.40 for 40# , so if we add everything together we are spending $5,82 and gee does that figure 80#.... lso what kind of bargain are you looking for? Whenever you buy something that is prom'd by a celeb or has a picture of a deer on it you will by paying up the yazoo. How do you think these people do that, they go buy fert and lime and put it in their bags and sell it for 28. for 40# hey they even give free shipping.....

First ya gotta ask: How much N, P, and K, are in Biologic's fertilizer? Once again their website don't say anything specific.
