OKay I know this has been discussed somewhere here before - but what would be the best for fall planting in Kansas - I will be adding a few new plots this year and would like to try something new - Most of my spots are off the beaten path so no way to get a lime truck in - I planted red, white clover, brassica, smooth brome in the spring and it is doing great - but I dont seem to be getting much action in it yet. I am thinking about planting cow peas, or some other legume that I can disk under in the spring - Any comments - plot will be aboutr 1-2 acres. I would like some feedback from others in KS and what you are planting.
Thanks
Mike

i planted some walmart bought clover 3 years ago. it's still doing good with a little bit of yearly maintenance. a few weeks ago i put a wire cage on there for the first time. this is right after i bush hogged it. in a few months i'll see what the utilization rate is. i know this doesn't help much, but just my .02.
