Vantage is used to get rid of grasses. Broadleaf plants are not supposed to be damaged. The broadleaf weeds will not be removed with Vantage. Those you will have to mow to eliminate them.

Russ, so what you are saying is I should be able to spray Vantage on my plots, they have a mixture of clover, rape and alfalpha, and this should not kill the plants that I want?
I did a search on this and none of the poasts addressed alfalpha and rape.
Thank you in advance.

Alfalfa and Rape are broadleaf plants (that's what I've been made to understand.) If it is the Vantage for grasses, it shouldn't harm them. It might slow them down, but not kill them.
