i just recently put this mineral supplement in the soil on my families land in upstate new york. has anyone ever had sucess with this supplement? example: Antler growth, bigger deer, healthier deer? The maker of the mineral is The Whitetail Institute of North America.

You need to remember that a deer utilizes a very large area, therefore for any kind of supplement to do much good you would have to have numerous mineral sites located throughout an area of probably a mile radius or more of your hunting area unless you have a pen. These would have to be available year round to the deer. The number one thing that you and your hunting partners can do is to give the young bucks time to mature to trophy status. We put a lot of mineral salt-DiCal mineral sites out, but honestly I don't know how much good it does.

I just bought the same mineral mix and will till it in the soil next weekend. I am planning to use it along with some stump licker. For future licks I am going to make them myself. Let us know if it works for you.

yea the deer tore up that ground completely.... i dunno about the antler size and stuff but it looks like they like it....

i put more out and i will see this saturday what they did to it. i also put out carrots and planted some clover. i hope the clover takes well with the mix of sunshine and rain we have been having.

yes they did tear it all up. man i cant wait to see the big deer that have been doing this.

It takes genetics & nutrition(sp) to grow big bucks. On how much it helps, it depends on how many deer are there feeding on it!
