Garlon 3 or 4 is available however it really a professional applicator consentration and costly...Crossbow is same active plus 2,4-D. G-3 is not the same as G-4.

re Sericia...its rather easy to kill with the proper chemical and timing. Most people are learning that serecia, outside of the southeast US, is terrible invasive weed...Kansas has declared it a Noxious weed for example.

Wooddust,

Sericea is definitely invasive as we are having some real problems with it here in KY taking over some of our native warm season grass stands. It is easy to kill back with chemical, but it is such a powerful seed producer and has such an established seed base, that it always seems to come back. We have been working on burning/mowing/spraying regime in hopes of finding a way to rid some stands or Sericea permanently, but it is yet to be seen whether or not that will happen, or whether we are just going to have to deal with it every so often until the end of time!

There will be a new option chemically that should be cleared for use this season that is a better product and will not just burn the tps as you have seen. The seed production on sericea is huge....too bad we had Highway departments spread it far and wide. When the new stuff is available Ill post info
