planting wheat in the spring

I've always thought the cereal grain grasses were not heat tolerant. It may grow some, but not ideally. If I was going to plant a summer plot it would either be Iron Clay Peas or Lablab.

I wouldn't I would plant soybeans or some of the warm season plots mentioned above.I am going to plant my wheat and soybean mix around sept. 1st so the wheat will come up good and the beans will just leaf out.I will plant milo in a week or so and that will last through winter

I'm not saying I'm going to plant wheat in the spring!!! Again, I'm simply curious what would happen if it was planted in the spring. Would it produce a seed head? Why isn't wheat planted in the spring?
