if there are a lot of deer in the area put some buck jam on them

I haven't tried much except time for now. In another couple years, I will probably rent an excavator. A little bobcat 331 is only like 250 for 8 hours on the machine, delivered. I will get my money out of it though. I have a few mountain plots like this one below that need some stumps out of them. For now, I work around them.

A dozer with a rake is about the best option. Not cheap, though.
