i was out at one lease property this weekend trying to deer hunt it. there was somewhere between 300-500 turkeys on it, i know they will eat every available food source on it and be gone before spring. how big of a food plot will it take to keep the population holding on the property? they have corn and bean fields in all dirrections so that will help get rid of some of them to fan out to those properties.
just a little about last weekend... there were so many turkeys that all day, all you could hear is a loud roar, you could hardly hear a single turkey over the mass groups. i tried to chase them away on multiple occasions but within 10 minutes they would come back from all directions, all day i watched turkeys fight/play and eat. the deer didn't like allthe sound so they all left the area.
i hope that in the future i can provide enough food that by the spring, the groups stay on our property.

Specificly for spring, early greening clover may be the best choice. If you can, creating some cover for nesting nearby might be a good idea also.

Do a google search on wild turkey nesting brush piles or something like that do get some ideas.
