Hey bro, My opinion is the moultree d40 for that price, however you can spend a little more and go with the I40 by moultree. Also they have a forum just for camera discussion....Good Luck

The Moultrie Game Watcher with an additional $20 chip will run you about $120 and they make very good pictures. You can get something like 1700 pictures on there if I remember right.

in my experience i have bought and used lots of different brands of cameras. my biggest consderation in buying a camera is batteries. i now look for a camera that has a big square battery. also i always get the rechargeablesquare batteriesso i can use a solar panel with it. it will save you lots of time and money. in some spots my cameras will all run out of juice in one night, taking pictures of lots of deer, unless it have the solar panel running. now i can keep them out for months and not have to disturb the deer that much. so figure 13 dollars per night or 2 nights, as apposed to 30 bucks for the next however many years. i also make sure the camera uses an "sd memory card." up to 4 gigs of memory will last nearly all summer.

I vote for the moultries also. Great pictures and dependable. My batteries last a month or so but I check them every week or two. Not to start a scuffle here or anything but I don't understand, and I read this from a lot of people, is why a person wouldn't check their camera for so long a time. My purpose of a camera is pictures yeah, but is to find where the most travel of bigger bucks is at so that I can determine a stand site. If I were to wait 5 months before checking, then most of the past activity would be useless. I like seeing what is on my property, watch them develop and try to strategize. Maybe I'm wrong ?
