Far to late and far to close to the first frosts to try planting anything now. Don't waste the time, effort and money it would take. A Fall planting of clover and similar seed would have been in August.

It probablly is... however way down south here in Alabama we have had the worst drought in about 100 years. We arent going to plant until next weekend. But we shouldnt get a frost for about another month or month in a half, but with the way the weather has been this year who knows... Good luck out there.

By the way where in colorado are you from. I have some family out there.

About 30 minutes west of trinidad.

Thanks for the info guys. I was affraid we got everything to late
I was able to check our PH level and it ranges from 6.5 to 7.5 so now that i know the level, i'll beable to put more time into what we can plant and get everything ready for next year.

Thanks again guys!

Any info on what would be a good food plot for a small area? Im cleaning out our property and cutting trails through the thick oak brush and pinion trees and would like to start dragging mule deer onto our property. Already have a watering "hole' figured out.
