Supplemental Feeding
I am currently supplying the deer in my area with Antler King pellets. I have been mixing 50 lbs. Antler King with 25lbs. corn. I am going through about 3 bags a week and I am trying to wean the deer away from the corn. My question is to all of you that use supplemental feeds, when is the right time to stop feeding Antler King? Should I also try and cut back on the rations of Antler King before quiting cold turkey? It makes sence, but I am not sure if it is necessary.
I usually replenish my mineral licks the end of January the first of February. So there will be other sources of minerals, but not really a high protein source untill things start to green up.
