We fertilize first, then plant in Sept-Oct.. During the winter toward spring we also topdress with N and spray for garlic and other weeds, but then we are planting 2500 acres, its not for food plots, but a lot of it get used as such......

I understand about soil test and that there are no short-cuts but my buddy wasn't into it that much(his land) But now he's understanding it better and will get full tratment next year. I can get free some 20-20-20 liquid fertilizer that you mix 3-1.Is this an ok thing to use? or shouldI get a higher N ?It is a bit sandy the soil.Just trying to help the plot out a bit. Thanks for any suggestions.
