Just got done planting Buck Forage Oats
Went over to the lot yesterday and tilled up a little over1/2 are in to locations.
Every year I plant in the fall either late August or early September and we never seam to get enough rain for the plots to realy take off.
Fist time Ive tried the Buck Forage oats .
I,ve herd a lot of good coments on them so I figured I ,d plant a couple weeks early and keep my fingers crossed.
What do you no , its starting to thunder , Here comes he rain ..
I herd the deer like it at a shorter length , I f it does get a foot or so tall can it be mowed or will it kill it ??
When or should I put down some furtilizer ??
I have a few different plots doing great ..clovers, turnips, pranellies ,and a couple others.

I also planted BFO yesterday (8/14/07) next to a 1/2 ac of WI winter green. I fertilized the ground first with 14-14-14 & 18-18-18 then dragged a fence gate behind an ATV before seeding.
