Default foodplot- what is this

Like a fool i lent out my QDM food plot book....this si the main compnent of my lousy (very little raining in thsi area of w NY) foodplot....i think the 3 are the same...although the farthest has that pin hole look in the one plot (Bugs?).

what is it?

Looks like a brassica of some sort to me. Hard to tell from just those pictures though. Post a picture of the entire plant.

The left one looks like rape, and the right one looks like purple top turnip, don't know about the middle one.

Thanks guys...what cna i do abotu the bugs?

I wish i would have spent less on brand name mixes so i still had a budget...

they are probably aphids which you can kill by spraying malathion on it. It will also keep them from getting on it for a couple of weeks.

Let the bugs do what they may, shoot the deer, and rotate to something else next year. I'll take some of your bug damage and you can have some of my deer damage!
