can you over seed an area, i have a bunch of different stuff i want to try (oats, rye, secret spot, hot spot, ultra forage blend, and maybe alfafa clover blend. are there any cons to braodcasting alto of seeds?

All crops have an optimal number of seedlings per sq foot they will do best in. Water, fertilizer, sunlight, type of seeds and other variables will determine the number.

IN the same spot, yeah. Each seed has different requirements, seed density, planting depth, growth rate, fertilizer requirements, soil preferences, moisture requirements, ect. Then there is weed control. If you mix too much stuff, there is nothing you can use to kill weeds, or grass. If you try to do too much, ya end up doing nothing well.
