Default Miniature Foodplot

Just planted a few miniature foodplots in the hunting area i frequent...used Hotspot from Wallmart...used a garden weasel to prep the ground...man that was some work...also put our some home made mineral lick spots between the food plots and the creek...man i hope this works...

Likes like it will work great. I would only hunt one of them, so the deer use the others as nutritional plots.

yeah hot spot works pretty well and i made a homemade mineral lick to on the off season that was hit pretty hard did you dig a hole and pour like salt and different minerals into a pit and kinda cover it up again just wondering because thats what i did only problem is once the deers antlers stop growning and the does are weaning their fawns their need for mineral drops drasticley and they wont hit nearley as hard as they would in the off season but goodluck.

Your food plot will work, but it won't last long. I tried this on a 1/4 acre plot. About the time it started to produce leaves the deer demolished it. Nothing left but dirt. You may have to keep replanting on a monthly basis to keep up with demand.

Will it get enough sunlight in there to grow? Good luck with it.

oh man that is so cool we try to do our own food plots too we have one now that is about 40 ft by 20 feet i thinkbut we hunt in west texas and the amount of rain that we get over here it is very hard to get a good plot out of it and it is good if you have the right equipment too which we are workin on hope fully we have a good foodplot for the next fall but then to we had to put a 4 foot fence around the plot because of the hogs that we have over here they are straight up crazy[:@]but they are cool to hunt i hope to get my first hog with my bow this year too.

I just put out some turnips, brassicus and alphalpha in the edge of the feild against the woods near my house. The deer have beat a trail into the ground off the mountain down to it No big tracks yet though

The food plot will do you well dude. Especially in the late season.
