Deer Supplements/Attractants - Buck Bran
#1

We put out Wildgame Innovations' Buck Bran for the first time last year to give the deer some supplements for bigger racks and healthier deer. Winter was harsh in the UP last year too so we wanted to give them some added nutrition over the winter.
We put it out mid-day and when we checked it the next morning, there were tracks all along it and about 1/2 was gone already.
So, my question is, has anyone else ever used Buck Bran? What were the results? Are the rack bigger? Did it attract deer?
Thanks in advance.
Oh, and by the way, this year, we're going to put out some mineral blocks (Evolved Habitat Buck Lickers) so we wanted to know if we should go to the blocks or stick with the Buck Bran.

UPHunter, I've been putting out Buck Bran, 20 lb. bag at a time, the past 3 years and my deer have it gone in just a few days. Great stuff for putting out in front of trail cams to get pics. Don't think it is solely responsible for bigger racks but the deer are sure attracted to it. It gets a little expensive at $20 a pop so I usually space out the offerings over a 6 month span. Also have real good luck with the Cutting Edge Minerals put out by Whitetail Institute. I spend about $300 a year on these 2 products but I feel it is money well spent along with my food plots. Thanks AA. I've never tried any of the Cutting Edge products by Whitetail Institute but I don't have access to the land all year so we can't go back and refresh as often as we want. Basically, what we want is a supplement that will have the deer coming back so we can eventually hunt in that area.
