Arial of my land......what to do with it
This is the land that i have aquired in SW/Central Missouri! You cant really see the numbers, but i will explain what each mean.
1) Is a pond that has seen some action during turkey hunting (this land rocks for turkey season)
2) Is in the center of the bottom oval. It is a little gully that has a stream running through it
3)In the picture looks like pasture, but now it has cedars grown up in that area
4)On the other side of the fence there is a pine stand
5)Is the top oval. It is a little bottom that has a small stream cutting through it.
6)Is a stream that is cutting through the little valley.
What would you guys do with this if it where yours...
i was thinking about planting a food plot on number two. Plant some biologic or something in that little valley
I am very new to this so anything is greatly appriated. The is rarelyhunted for deer. last turkey season we found a nice shed where number two is.
If you have any questoins regarding the land ask.
I dont know the hunting pressure in the surrounding lands

Nice looking patch you got for sure. I it were mine I would put the food plot in that inside corner inbetween 1 and 3. Turnips do really good in MO. plus the Biologic you mentioned would be good with them. Have fun and good luck.

Unless you pasture the land - or rent to a farmer - I would set up a 10 year plan to:
1. Increase Bedding ON THE PROPERTY by letting pasture revert (plant pines, shrubs, trees to speed along.
2. Maximize FUNNEL EFFECT between PLOT sites.
3. Lay plots out to be take advantage of natural Saddles, ridges, funnels.
4. Lay plots out to maximize NE corners.
5. Create a Deer Sanctuary - that you do not hunt (Maybe bottom right corner).
- Every property is different - My "plots a square" - but they don't have to be.
You have lots of food around you - you need to increase bedding, and offer attractive fall and WInter plots.

Create privacy/security for you and the deer alone the property line. Plant a double row of thick pines, such as Norway spruce, starting along the road. Then more pine screens along any open area propery boundry.
