Default Sprayers

I keep reading about how alot of people are using sprayers in here. Just wondering what kind/type everyone is using. All I have been using is my 3pt broadcast spreader to fertilize with and have been wanting to get a sprayer so I can start using roundup ready seed, but cant justify it unless I could use it for fertilizing too. Is there any advantage to some of these liquid fertilizers over the dry? Thanks for any info.

i've used 2 sprayers. 1 is a 300 gallon 25 foot boom sprayer that i rent from the grain company. the other is a 15 gallon 12 volt electric sprayer with a 10' boom that i fabricated myself. it is placed in a tow behind cart. right now, i'm trying to make a cradle to hold the 15 gallon sprayer in the 3pt hitch. it sprays 1 gpm and has a 11' swath. when i drive 3 mph i can cover 1.0 acre in 15.0 minutes.

I use a Wylie, my dad uses a Fimco. Both companies have added a lot of products to the lineup since ours were made.

I like liquid fertilizer better, especially if it can be soil incorporated when planting. It works for top dressing as well, but it won't provide as much bang for the buck.
