honestly, you should've looked before you leapt, but we have all done similar things. there was an article in I believe deer and deer hunting a month or so ago about hunting pine flats in the south. AND the people that were having luck at it. I'd say research that and then look at the surrounding land, topography and the like and make the best out of the situation. the thing to remember is that you need to maintain a positive attitude. just say, 'well, got myself into it, now I've got to make the best of it'. good luck

I guarantee if there are deer on the property that there are natural food sources, briars, honeysuckle, mushrooms and all kinds of other browse. You just have to get out there and do some intensive scouting and identify the food sources of the deer during the hunting season. Food plots only make up a smaller percentage of the deer's food sources, but planting something that will be available during bow season is a start.
