Default LOSING THE RACK!!!!!

When would you say would be the latest time that a deer could lose his antlers. I have been shed hunting already a few times but really no luck. So i was wondering if they still had their horns but i doubt it.

I have seen a few bucks last week with both racks, and some with half racks. They are definately losing them now, but some drop quicker than others. I have never seen a buck with antlers past the middle of March, but have seen a couple of half racks the first week of March!

I"ve seen all three types the first weekend of April during our opening TX turkey season. Shed, about an inch of velvet, and both sides antlers. And this year I've already seen bucks totally shed.

3 days ago, I watched a group of deer here in Kansas. I saw 3 P&Y bucks, and only one of those had one side missing. These rest still had both sides. So here in the midwest, i'm still giving the shed antlers some time before I go searching for them.
