I agree guy's that the deer know when we're not in the wood's anymore I worked 3 day's last week and a spot near where I hunt the first day I seen 3 deer on the hill ,the next day I seen 12deer 7 walking through the thinned out bush on the hill and 5 standing near the edge of the field ,the 3rd day I counted 27 deer in the same spot's .So in 3 day's I seen 42 deer and I only seen a hand full during the season LOL.

I watched 3 BIG BUCKS walk past my back yard-20 yards from my back door yesterday. I video taped them-ALL would make P&Y plus a 4th that had 2 bloody holes where his rack used to be. They then walked right past my deer stand (10 yards) that is approx. 200 yards away. This was all at 3:30 in the afternoon. Season closed last week.

RE: they know when hunting season is over
i think they know to an extent. About a month after iowa shotgun season ended, a friend and I were out in the woods on a four wheeler. Ahead of us jumped out two bucks, one had shed his antlers already and the other was a basket 8. i turned the four wheeler off and looked at him. i slowly made a move. I grabbed my LRF and ranged him at 52 yards. We then yelled at him, talked at him, waved our arms, and then he just kinda sauntered off wit his pal. only if i could get his granddaddy to do that...
