Increased Deer Population - Dangerous to Drivers?
Last night ABC World News did a short story about the increase of Deer population and increased level of auto accidents/fatalities due to deer in the road each year. Interestingly enough, Fox News local in Philadelphia this morning, also did a short skit about this same topic in Pennsylvania. They actually had a live feed from a helicopter showing a doe grazing about 15 yards from the road. They also mentioned about the danger of increased activity during fall due to breeding and hunting. Are the populations increasing or is it staying the same and people are taking over habitat? Your thoughts?

RE: Increased Deer Population - Dangerous to Drivers?
this is typical of the insurance companies here in the USA....there was a time when I would see 30 plus deer per day here in NJ, now I see maybe 10, and yes to some hunters seeing 10 deer per day is alot. A few years ago in some areas of NJ they started to allow hunters to harvest unlimited anterless deer, the 1st year it was great, but after awhile it gets old, how long can a deer population take it
