they think im too sassy to learn how to hunt..
They are likely jealous that their spouses/girlfriends don't hunt or are afraid that you will bag a better deer. Most women are excellent shots, something about having less ego. A good friend of mine took his 15 year old daughter moose hunting this year so we took her to the range to sight in her rifle. It was a riot to watch this young girl with pants hanging off her butt step up to the shooting line and outshoot half the men then go sit down and read her book like nothing had just happened. Man we laughed that day. The truth is she is a crack shot on ducks! Listen to serious advice from your boyfriend, assume you will make mistakes in the beginning everybody does. Most of all have fun. My wife has no interest in hunting and thats fine but I think my youngest daugther might take it up when she is old enough.

Don't worry, we were all new to hunting at some time.
I am more into hunting than my husband is - I love it.
If you feel you're getting too razzed by the guys here, stop over at the WomenHunters website:

congrats. on wanting to learn the art of hunting.we welcome you to the sport.all the other post have been good ones.if you mess up,then so what.there will be another day. look listen and learn from anyone that will talk hunting.
My wife hunts with me every day.it makes me more excited to hear her shoot than to shoot myslef.she has became a real hunter.that makes me proud,as I know you young man will be of you.

if the guys give you grief,it is only that they think you may outdo them(lets hope you do).the main thing that I can say is,be quite, still, and most of all sent free.
We all love to smell a sweet smelling young lady(slef included),but in the woods, hold off on the smelly stuff till you get home and ready for the night[8D].
them old buck don't really like to smell what we guys do.LOL

Welcome to hunting Nae --- it's the most enjoyable experiences you'll ever have. And it's great to add more females to the club. I get tired of looking at and talking to guys all the time. Good luck this year, you go get 'em.

Way to go, I am taking a female partner hunting this year, for her first year, also. Some advise is to set reasonble goals for yourself. If you partners are razing you a little just take it with a smile but if the crap keeps coming and is intense just find yourself some new partners.

Good luck and congrats
