i finally talked my wife into going hunting with me two years ago. at first she went just to satisfy me and to prove to me that it's just not her "thing". well i tell you what, once she started seeing deer and getting some shooting in (she missed a bunch her first year), she was hooked. last year she got her very first deer, it was a six point with an 18" spread. i didn't get a buck last year but i was over-joyed being by her side and talking her through her hunt. now she is just as excited as i am about the upcoming rifle season. now we have a boy (our son) who just turned 12 that will be joining us for his first hunting exerience. my wife is just learning and my 12 year old is totally new....... i think i have my work cut out for me but i'm soooooooo excited!!!!

yep its funny the way that goes, i will get a bigger kick out of my grandson killing one than if it was me, thanks for doing your part

Im trying to get my fiance into hunting. I took her squirrel hunting last year and she enjoyed herself, now she wants to go again. She said she would go deer hunting as long as she didnt have to watch me gut it or get blood on her. I guess its a start at least she is going and hopefully she will understand why i love to hunt so much.
