Getting ready for moose hunting and I'm in a bit of a situation.

I shoot a Ruger M77 MarkII (7mm Rem Mag) and have been using Remington Premiere Safari Grade shells with the Swift A Frame bullet at 160gr. I love this shell. My rifle is dialed in with this shell.

Unfortunatly I am having a terrible time getting any more of these shells. It seems that most dealers around my region only stock the standard Remington loads. The only shop that sells them is out until mid October. I leave for moose hunting October 10th........

So, I guess my question is what is a comprable shell?

Anyone have any experience with the Federal Premium line?

Also, Nickle plated casings are prefered (I hate corrosion on my shells)

hey big scrape, have any friends that reload, i reload myself and it is very enjoyable, i know this doesn't help you in a pinch, but if you could find someone that reloads i'm sure they could work up a comparable or even a better shooting load, and you should be able to get the swift bullets with no problems, btw i started reloading because no one within a zillion miles would keep cartridges for my 7mmstw. now i reload 7mm-08, 7mm mag and the stw, also rem 260.... just a thought.

ps i have shot fed prem. and they did shoot fairly well, i'm not sure you could find it in a hurry with the swift a-frame
