I have never used it to atract ,I know others that have with mixed results . I have used the real stuff not fake for a cover scent for years and I don't smell up the place when I get home .

we used it on our bear baits last year to attract bear, and had tons of deer come up to it and smell it includeing a couple nice ones, surprizingly none spooked. I still tend to think your better off with a good dose of hard scouting rather than trying to fool with a bucks nose.

I have used vanilla extract for years while deer hunting. Most deer seem to like the smell and I get lots of trail cam pics with it.I buy mine at costco or bj's wholesale clubs. You get a big ol bottle of 32 oz for $1.99 much cheaper than the grocery stores...

I am a women and started archery hunting about 7 years ago and switched to sauve vanilla scented shampoo and conditoner. I hunt from the ground(don't like heights), and have had many deer come within 10 yds and don't spook.
