Default Hints on Scouting new land

I just received permission to hunt a new peice of land here in the NC mountains. The property is a mixture of hardwoods, small meadows that are semi-covered in wild rose bushes, and a couple large christmas tree patches that contain knee to waist high trees. Where should I start looking for a place to hang a stand or 2 or a feeder. Thanks Guys!

id start off asking people who spend time on the land where they see activity if theres people that hunt on it ask them if theres some areas you should look at or if theres farmers or land owners ask them where they see deer at and also get walk and walk and when youve walked enough walk some more and just look for trails, food sources, bedding areas and all that sort of stuff the deer probably bed down and stay in the thick stuff and they will have trails through more open areas to get from one spot to another and key in on what there eating if theres alot of oaks then hunt near them and if your useing feeders all you have to do is find a spot that looks decent and hang the feeder, it`ll do the rest for you
