I plan on getting two stealth cams and was wanting to put one over a bait pile (corn) to get some photos of the locals. Do you guys who bait just put one big pile in the area or do you spread it out? Do you use corn on the cobb or off? Lets not turn this into an ethics post.

When I'm hunting I normally take several hand fulls and sprinkle a thin trail of corn down the ranch roads and senderos that I'm hunting down. When I'm rifle hunting, I will normally pour out a few pounds of corn about 100 yards from where I'm sitting. All the stores down here sell 50 & 100 pound sacks of shucked corn, thats what I use. Using corn that is still on the cob is only good if your squirrel hunting

If you scatter it out it will last longer because it will be a little harder for them to get at it, rather than pouring out the whole bag in 1 spot and let them just eat mouthful after mouthful of corn.
