If you can't find a friend or relative who can take you under their wing, read books to learn anatomy and behavior, read the hunting regulations cover to cover, get on the net or read to find areas to hunt in.

Once you have a basic idea what you are hunting and what the rules are, get out in the field and scout. Seeing deer in the wild is the best way to learn about them.

Learn to be invisible, silent, scent-free, and patient. It will take all of these for success.

You just found one of the best places to ask questions and bounce ideas off people, RIGHT HERE. Choose a callsign for yourself and join the board by clicking on "register" at the top right of the page. Once you join you can carry on two way conversations.

Keep 'em all in the Bull.

Like WV Hunter said, a good place to start would be a hunter safety course. Call your states Fish & Wildlife dept. and they will tell you all the info you need. Which state do you live in? Surely you must have a relitive or know someone who hunts. See if they will take you under their wings. There is also a ton of books and magazines out there that are full of information on deer hunting. And this web site, ofcourse. Your already a step ahead of the rest of us when we started hunting by having access to this forum!! Ask questions!!

The next easiest thing to do would be to just get some videos, books and magazines on the subject and read till your eyes bleed. Then go with a friend for your first hunt. After that, your inner predatory instincts will be unleashed!!

Depending on where you live, I know that Bob Folkrod (spelling??) in Pennsylvania runs a very good bowhunting school. It is a week or 2 week long session. I'm certain that there are other schools like that available. Go to your local pro shop and just ask about those kinds of classes.
