With my bow, I'm one for one on kills. On my rifle I'm 3 shots and no kills[:@] Missed a doe, day after Christmas and this last Sat. missed a red fox twice. The fox was standing still both times with in 75 yds.[
] Checked my rifle and drilled a 5" rock at 50 yds. So it was me, not the gun. I did kill a tree with that second shot though. I rushed my shots. At least I got till the end of this month

Sorry about that post on the broadhead poll, my dad got on my username and he typed that. He doesn't know how to delete posts once he saw that it was not his. I did not know about it until he told me today when I asked him about why you asked me about it. He forgot to tell me. [:@]

Hey guys i know i need more practice this was the first year i used a rifle in Ky. Thats when i missed the 6 point. This gun is about 50 years old and the only one i had to use that weekend. I shot it 5 times and it was good then i hit it on a tree walking around when i fell. So all I care i got the deer.

I shot just over the back of the first deer this year twice. My wife said I was shooting just over its back to I droped the crosshair a tad and hit it dead center. The second one I hit on the button the first shot. I know that elevation can change the point of impact of a sighted in rifle but I quess I never realized how much. I sighted my rifle here where my wife works but where we hunt is about 2000 feet higher in elevation. With my 257 Robert sighted in about 2 1/2 inches high at 100 yds here will have me shooting 4-5 inches high down where we hunt. It happened last year to but I didn't get the message. Got it know. Got to sight in dead on here where I live. Does anyone have a rule of thumb for elevation differences?

this was the WORST day of my life. one day i was in the blind and i saw a HUGE 8 pointer i mean his tines were like 11" tall! and i got my gun up and i got ready to shoot and i took the gun off safety and then i MASSIVE 14 pointer came out at 225 yards away and my gun was sighted in at 100yds. so i took a shot at him and i didnt aim high enough on the deer so the bullet went right under him. i was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO depressed! i didnt get any sleep that night because i was up thinking about that deer!

i also missed a 300 pound feral hog( i was 12 at the time) because i was in my blind and my mom wouldnt let me shoot because they were 150 yards away.(dont ask me why but she just didnt let me). and i was using a .270 and it was a .270 that you break the barrel open (like a double barrel shot gun) and i got to about 75 yards away and i was sitting on my butt with the gun resting on my knees and apparently the barrel wasnt closed good and when i shot immediately afterwards the hot shell flew out and hit me right below the eye. i wasnt hurt but i was mad because i missed the hog because my cousin had bumped by gun and hadnt told me about it and she set my scope off by 16.5 inches. i was MAD[:@] at her!
