RE: do you eat the heart??
Heart is muscle and muscle is meat! The first thing I eat from every deer I kill is the heart, slice it up into thin slices and stir fry it with onions!!! Yummmmmmy!

RE: do you eat the heart??
I cut out all the fat and fiber, cube it into 3/8 - 1/2" chunks and make chili with it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with eating the heart - tastes the same any other cut to me but the texture is a little firmer.

RE: do you eat the heart??
Sorry I don't eat organs at all. Too much good meat on a deer to eat the heart and liver.

RE: do you eat the heart??
True Taz. But I still won't eat it.:D I used to eat chicken hearts for years, but stopped. No more! No more brains and eggs, no more hearts, no more livers.
I don't know what changed but I can't eat them anymore. |
RE: do you eat the heart??
MMMMmmmmMMMMMMmmm chicken livers and hearts fried up with onions!!!! farmcntry you are making me hungry!! I have to say it is a bit unusual to quit eating those things for no reason, usually the older we get the more things we will eat that we wouldn't eat as a kid. About the only thing I don't eat any more that I ate as a kid is mayo sandwiches!!! (I would still but the wife catches me and gets mad):)
