I think it is spelled Allagheney but I am not sure. I have never hunted down that way, I have been on quite a few drives in the past in the Northern Neck and they were all quiet slow drives, the drivers sometimes killed more deer than the standers. Pots and pans!!! Never seen that except in old hunting videos from tiger hunts in India, of course if I was driving a tiger and didn't have a gun I would make as much noise as possible to keep him away from me too!

yes i hunted there from 1985-1992, these guys would get in trucks go to the top of the mountains spread out across the top and run the deer down to the roads and that is where the standers are. The walkers carried pots and pans and screamed the whole way, we hunted the mountain across from them and watched them from about 1/2-3/4 mile away and were absolutely amazed, but they did kill some nice bucks

Man that is crazy, but then again they have probably hunted that way for over 100 years around there.
