Hey man, not everyone is as observant as you. Don't be getting your panties in a wod. I'm sure it's a common mistake. You can't say that if you could get an extra tag that you wouldn't do so. Charlie, i've done the samething with foxes.

Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law Charlie. Read your manual and stuff like this wouldn't happen. Now..........you may not be familiar with the rules regaurding punishment of such offenses either so let me help you out here.
Once you get the meat all processed and in nice packages.......label them carefully and send them all to me
I will take care of the rest for you
It's for your own good man........crime doesn't pay.
P.S. I prefer my backstraps butterflied and I will be checking to make sure the tenderloins are there........no oops I slipped while dressing it stories either
At least we all know what the P stands for in your name

It was still however a dumb mistake, and I dont think he would disagree with me for saying so. But we have all made dumb mistakes.
Belief me I have been beating myself up about this.

Nope I don't disagree at all. It was a dumb mistake that won't happen again. The funny thing is I was talking with a DEC cop and mentioned how great I thought it was that we could tranfer tags and it didn't come up about it only being DMP tags. Still all my fault. I'm a big boy and can admit when I screwed up and I screwed up. I have no defense for what happened should have known the regulation, before I took the tag. If I did I wouldn't have taken the tag.

Well congrats on the buck Charlie, I salute you for confessing your sins!!
I know you well enough to know that you would never had taken the tag if you knew it wasn't legal, I will also bet there are others who read this post who learned something also.

My first thoughts were "Wow, that is kind of cool how you can transfer tags in NY." But I can see why you cannot do it in PA. Every Tom, Joe and Harry would be having their 90 year old grandmother getting a hunting license just so they could shoot another buck. I am guessing that is the reason it isn't legal in NY either.
