Was wondering if i could get your opinions on what i saw today. I was at my annual club meeting and we have a bulletin board where people sell stuff. Well i saw somebody was selling a rifiled barrel for my Rem1100 and it came with sights. He was selling it for $200 is that a reasonable price?

thanks for the reply halcon........can i shoot them challenger slugs out of a riffled barrel or just the sabot slugs?

With rifled barrels, you should shoot sabot slugs

If its a fully rifled barrel thats not bad. In Cabela' s you can get a Hastings fully rifled barrel for $289 and a Remington one for $239. If that used one is in good shape I' d offer 165 to 175.

They do really help shooting slugs!

Hey cloud yeah its a fully rifled and it would be perfect for my 1100. The guy visits the gun club regularly so hopefully this weekend i walk away with it.

Do you have a range at the club? If so, bring your 1100 along and a box of slugs and if the guy shows up with the barrell try it out before buying it to make sure it does what you expect it to do. You might also visit the Remington website to see what they recomend for this barrel as far as slugs to use. Good luck.

Rav. , That is a great price for the barrel , I paid 180 US back 10 years ago for a Hastings. 200 Canadian is a great price , it won' t last long believe me. You will be surprised how well they shot...BT

Coastie yeah we have a range on the property.

BT Yeah its hard to find some good prices on deals and this one looks pretty good with the extra barrel my gun is set for next year. I remember that buddy of yours who deer hunted with us he was shooting them remington sabots he was getting some good groups.
