world record typical
Which buck is the current world record typical??I' ve heard some guy still saying the Hanson is #1, but it seems to me that it' s been beat a few times, the Milo buck being one of them.

RE: world record typical
In North American Whitetail there was an article about sheds that could beat the Hanson buck. This buck is still alive and lives in Iowa. I also heard that one of Jim Shockey' s (not Jeramy Shockey) hunters got one that might break the record. We all know that the next world record is going to come from PA.

And the Hanson buck is from Sask. Just so you know... There was a bunch of talk about the Rompola buck a few years back but that' s another can of worms and never amounted to anything... So the Hanson buck is it, at 213+ inches I believe...

RE: world record typical
people can say what they want but there is a world record in many states, they just dont get killed, all you see these days on the internet is sheds, lets see some deer, make sure the sheds in iowa are not the fakes that have been posted, there is a story every month it seems that there is maybe a new world record, can never tell

RE: world record typical
Hanson buck is still the Number 1 Typical WT. There was a rumor about a possible typical that scored 215 at Jims Camp near Big River here in Saskatchewan, well as it turns out it was a local who shot a 205 typical near his camp, so no new world record that we know of yet. This is right from Jim Shockey who viewed the deer and took the story from the hunter.
Hope this helps to end the rumor mill!
